How to Get Sweeps Coins by Mail
The free postal entry route (AMOE), card field by card field
The free entry route, in short
You can request Sweeps Coins from us by post, free, without buying anything.
The route exists because a promotional sweepstakes has to offer a genuine free way in. That free entry is the line between a lawful sweepstakes and a lottery, where paying is the only way to take part. Buying Gold Coins is optional, carries no gameplay advantage, and does not improve your chance of winning.
What to write on the card
Four details make a request qualify, all of them hand-printed by the entrant on one 3in x 5in card:
- Your full legal name
- Your complete residential address (a PO Box is not accepted)
- A valid email address
- Your date of birth
Where to send it
Address the outer envelope exactly as below.
Mail-in entry address
Betzy - Sweepstakes Entry
1603 Capitol Avenue, Suite 413J PMB 2183
Cheyenne, WY 82001
Postage is yours to pay, and it needs to be enough. Betzy is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or postage-due mail, which means a request that does not arrive complete and readable does not qualify. Betzy does not publish a required class of postage.
What each request receives
Each qualifying request receives one (1) Sweeps Coin.
One request goes in each outer envelope, and you may send more than one envelope. Mechanically reproduced entries are void, so the card has to be hand-printed rather than photocopied, printed in bulk or produced for you by a service.
We do not publish how long a mailed request takes to reach an account, and we would rather leave that blank than estimate it. Credits are typically applied shortly after the request is processed.
Free entries are equal entries
Free entries are equal entries. A Sweeps Coin that arrives by post carries the same prize eligibility and the same chance of winning as a Sweeps Coin obtained any other way. There is no separate prize pool for mailed entries and no lower tier, and a Gold Coin purchase gives no gameplay advantage.
One complication belongs here and not in the small print. We track every Sweeps Coin as either Bonus-Derived or Purchase-Derived, and a coin awarded for a mailed request is Bonus-Derived. An account whose redeemable balance is entirely Bonus-Derived, with no purchase behind it, can redeem 20 SC ($20.00) in total, once in the lifetime of the account, and the standard 50 SC minimum does not apply to that redemption. Equal odds, different cap. The wider set of limits is on the page about redeeming Sweeps Coins, and the two currencies are set out under Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins.
The other free routes
Alongside the post, we award Sweeps Coins free through three other routes:
- Daily login bonus, a free Sweeps Coin allocation each day you log in
- Promotional bonuses through in-platform promotions, social giveaways, referral programs and special events
- Free-play promotions credited as a new-user welcome offer or an event award
The rest of the model, from the two currencies through to redemption, is set out on the how Betzy works hub.
After your request arrives
Sweeps Coins from a qualifying request are credited to your Betzy account, and each one arrives Unplayed. An Unplayed Sweeps Coin cannot be redeemed until it has been wagered through at least one complete game round, which makes it Redeemable. A mailed coin then meets the same conditions as any other, including identity verification and the gates described in how redemption works.
Common questions
Do I really not have to pay?
Payment is not required at any point, to enter or to win. A mailed request costs you a card, an envelope and postage, and nothing to Betzy.
How many requests can I send?
One request per outer envelope, and multiple envelopes are permitted. Our published terms set no daily or monthly limit on the number of envelopes, and each qualifying request receives one (1) Sweeps Coin.
Do mailed entries have worse odds?
The odds are the same. Free-entry players have the same chance of winning as anyone else, and a Gold Coin purchase carries no gameplay advantage. The difference shows up at redemption, where a balance built only from Bonus-Derived coins meets a lower cap.
Can I use a PO Box as my address?
No. The card needs your complete residential address, and a PO Box is not accepted. The same rule applies to the address held on your account.
Can I photocopy the card to send several?
Mechanically reproduced entries are void, so a photocopied, printed or bulk-produced card does not qualify. Each card has to be hand-printed by the entrant.
