State eligibility, restricted jurisdictions, and how location is verified
Where Betzy is available
Betzy is open to legal residents of the United States who meet the eligibility requirements in section 3 of the Terms of Service, and it is not available nationwide. The Platform is not available outside the United States. You must be at least 18 to take part, or at least 21 where the jurisdiction requires it. Betzy publishes exclusions rather than a list of permitted states, and the authoritative version of those exclusions is in the Betzy Terms of Service.
States where Betzy does not operate
The Terms of Service (Version 1.0, effective June 5, 2026) and the AML/CFT and KYC Policy both name the restricted states, in two categories.

Betzy publishes that list with its own caveat: additional states may be restricted for specific features, additional jurisdictions may be restricted at counsel's determination, and the list may be updated at any time as laws change.
Michigan: play permitted, redemption not
Michigan residents may open an account, reach the Platform and play with both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Redemption is not available to them, because one of the six redemption gates requires a residential address outside Washington, Idaho, Nevada and Michigan. The practical consequence is that Sweeps Coins accumulated by a Michigan resident cannot be converted into a prize, no matter how those Sweeps Coins were obtained. How your location is checked
Your location is checked by IP geolocation together with device-level signals, which confirm that each session comes from a permitted jurisdiction. An account reaching Betzy from a restricted jurisdiction is blocked from gameplay and from redemption. Location is tested at more than one moment: when you register, while you play, and again when you request a redemption. The redemption gate tests your residential address rather than the place your current session comes from, so an address in a restricted state keeps redemption closed even when you are playing from somewhere else.
Why a VPN voids a redemption
Using a VPN, proxy or other anonymising technology to appear to be somewhere you are not breaches the Terms of Service, and the published consequence is suspension of the account with any pending redemption forfeited. The prohibition is listed with the other prohibited conduct, alongside holding more than one account and giving false registration information.
Who cannot take part, wherever they live
Five categories of person are excluded from entry wherever they live.
- Betzy employees, officers, directors and contractors, with their immediate family and household members
- Employees of firms administering the promotion, including game providers, payment processors and identity verification providers
- Anyone prohibited by applicable law from entering prize promotions
- Anyone on the OFAC SDN list or another applicable sanctions list
- Anyone under the applicable minimum age
Betzy also accepts no transactions from, and makes no payments to, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

Common questions
Can I play Betzy in my state?
Eligibility follows your residential address. An address in Washington, Idaho or Nevada means no access to the Platform at all. An address in Michigan means you can play but cannot redeem. Anywhere else in the United States, taking part depends on meeting the age, identity and account conditions in the Terms of Service.
What happens if I travel into a restricted state?
Play stops. The session check blocks gameplay and redemption from Washington, Idaho and Nevada, and your registered residential address continues to govern whether you can redeem at all.
Can I use a VPN to play?
No. Using a VPN, proxy or anonymising technology to get around the geographic restrictions is prohibited, and an account found doing it is suspended with pending redemptions forfeited.
Is Betzy available outside the United States?
Betzy is not available outside the United States. It is open to legal residents of the United States who meet the eligibility requirements, and no other residency qualifies.
